Important Note: Software companies frequently produce new versions of their products. You may find that the software we use in the classroom is different from the one you have at home, but you should be able to apply what you learn to your home environment.
Computer Basic 102
(B)
This course is for users that have limited or
no knowledge about computers.
It is more detailed than the Computer Fundamental class.
There’s information regarding basic computing terms, The
Desktop, Input, and Output, storage devices, the operating
systems & applications.
Additionally, we’ll cover Networking and Internet basics,
Ergonomics, safety, security, protecting your data,
understanding malware and more! Mondays 10:00 - Noon

Internet and Email
(I) Learn basic skills needed to correspond with
friends and family using Email, navigating around the Web and
searching for information of interest.
The course includes: chat and instant messaging, organizing
your browser, saving and downloading files, security, privacy, and
on line commerce, viruses, anti-virus programs, and more.
Students should be
experienced in using a
personal computer. Students should have completed the Computer
Fundamentals course or possess equivalent skills. Mondays @

Introduction to Excel
(I) Learn to create & print spreadsheets for
stocks, checking, or household accounts. Learn to enter/edit/format
data; save/retrieve spreadsheet documents; view multiple
spreadsheets; use format painter; create charts.
Student must have completed the Computer Fundamentals course
or possess equivalent skills.
THIS IS NOT A CLASS FOR THE COMPUTER NOVICE.

Word 2010 Intermediate All
New!!
(I)
This ALL NEW Intermediate course covers subjects like; Using Windows
Explorer with Word, saving files, working with templates, formatting
tools, adding hyperlinks, headers and footers, using time saving
tools, mail merge, Password protection, digitally signature,
working with multiple windows, split screens, send document
by E-Mail and other functions. Students should have taken the
Word 2010 Fundamental course or equivalent. They should
understand the basics of using a Windows-based computer.. Knowledge
of and experience with printing and using a Web browser is an asset,
but not required.

Word 2010 Advanced All
New!!
(A)
This ALL NEW Advance course covers subjects like working with;
pictures such as; edit, crop, resize , clip Art,
draw, resize, move shapes, advanced graphics and objects,
text boxes, SmartArt, watermarks, Quick Parts, Blocks Organizer,
tables functions, creating equations, and formatting and
analyzing charts.
Students should have taken the Word 2010 Fundamental course or
equivalent. They should understand the basics of using a
Windows-based computer.. Knowledge of and experience with printing
and using a Web browser is an asset, but not required.

Introduction to Digital Cameras
(A)
Introduction to PowerPoint
(A) Using Microsoft PowerPoint , this course introduces
students to a very creative personal or business tool.
One that can be used for presentations, visual memoirs, etc.
You will also learn to use clip art, animation, and develop a slide
show. It is strongly
recommended that the student have completed Intro to Windows 7 and
Introduction to Word.
Course manual and student practice files are included.
Genealogy & Family History
(B) In this class you will learn how to seek
information about your ancestors via the Internet.
You will learn about
different genealogy programs, and free Internet research sites.
At the completion of the course you should be capable of
writing and publishing a family history.
Bring as much information about your ancestors as possible.
You may use your own laptop or one of our computers. It is recommended that the student have taken
the Computer Fundaments course or possess similar skills.

Introduction to Windows 7
(B) Learn what the Windows 7 operating system can
do, how to perform necessary maintenance, use of Windows Explorer,
etc. Students should have Windows 7 on their home computers.
Students should have completed the Computer Fundamentals
course or possess equivalent skills. Thursdays

Open Lab Sessions Our
Computer Lab will be available for supervised practice and
assistance every Friday afternoon when classes are in session.
The Lab will be open and the computers available with an
experienced person to help students practice any parts of the
lessons for which they need help. The
lab is only open to former and current students.
